Build-To-Rent (BTR)

Build to Rent (BTR) refers to purpose-built housing designed for rent rather than sale. Schemes usually offer longer tenancy agreements and are often professionally managed by the owner or operator. With a lack of affordable housing and UK house prices and rent soaring, Build to Rent developments are an attractive option for investors seeking long-term returns.

Private-Rented-Sector (PRS)

The Private Rented Sector (PRS) is a classification of housing in the UK. The basic Private Rented Sector definition is: property owned by a landlord and leased to a tenant. The landlord, in this case, could be an individual, a property company or an institutional investor. The tenants would either deal directly with an individual landlord, or alternatively with a management company or estate agency caring for the property on behalf of the landlord.

Purpose-Built-Student-Accommodation (PBSA)

Purpose-Built Student Accommodation (PBSA) is housing explicitly constructed by private developers for students to live in, usually taking the form of grouping flats (many rooms with shared kitchen and living areas), or private studios, both with attached leisure facilities and perks like cinemas, gyms, and games rooms.
